0008885: Dwarf and goblin siegers stare down each other across 3-tile hallway; neither side moves to attack
While cleaning up the remnants of a siege, I issued a "station" order and had a dwarf walk up, attack the goblins on one side of a hallway, then stand there staring down the goblins on the other side of the hallway (a separation of 1 tile). The goblins, too, failed to attack the dwarf, including a ranged attacker.

When I ordered the dwarf to "station" elsewhere such that he moved adjacent to the goblins he (and they) attacked. The ranged goblin only fired when the dwarf was adjacent; the dwarf bashed the goblin's leg then continued on, disengaging from the injured enemy. The ranged goblin did not continue firing as the dwarf walked away.

I haven't looked at your save yet, but was this a 40.24 fresh game? Sounds similar to 0008250, but that was supposed to be fixed in 40.24. Perhaps another instance that needs to be looked at.

World was created in v0.40.24. I don't think this report is related to 0008250. That bug caused dwarves next to a goblin to fail to attack. In this bug, dwarves fail to automatically move next to a visible goblin, but do attack if they are ordered to move to an adjacent tile.
