0009871: Unable to get to the bottom of a Vault
A wall was placed one z-level above an upward ramp which is supposed to connect to another ramp which is on the same z-level as the wall. I had to use DFHack to even figure out how I was supposed to continue as the wall also blocked vision of the route that was intended.
Have bad luck I suppose?
I have a screenshot to help clarify but am unsure where I should post it.

You may have to pull a lever in the vault to get past that wall, (unless said lever is behind the wall - that would be an issue). Most vaults have two or three levers that you have to pull before you can get to the end.

I already pulled a lever to remove the bars, however the bars are beyond the wall. It is in a very awkward room that is a semi-circle that goes about 8-10 z-levels down and has a 3 level drop to even get in the room. I think it was just that whatever built the vault didn't account for a room transition to be one z-level below the room, thus putting a wall above it as it thought that is where the room should end.

Also I'm sure that it wasn't DFHack that caused this as I only recently installed it for this specific purpose. And I doubt the tileset would be the cause either.

Hm. Would you mind putting a save up on DFFD? From what you're describing, it sounds/looks like something went wrong when the vault was generated, but I'd like to make sure.

Also as a side note is there any way to delete/bypass that wall? I've played that character for a bit and it was the only vault I had managed to find.

The semi-circular room you described is a common fixture in vaults. From the save it looks as if it was shifted 2-3 z-levels down with respect to the surrounding rooms when the vault was generated... But it looks like you already knew that.

As far as getting past the wall, I'm not sure there's a way. If the obstacle had been bars, I would've suggested modding in a building destroyer-tagged adventurer to take them down, but not even building destroyers can deconstruct walls.

Good news, though: according to the Legends, there are two other vaults in the world your adventurer is in. As bugs like this are rather rare, I imagine you could explore them both fully without any trouble.

Vaults are known to be generated improperly, making the slab unreachable.

This seems like a duplicate of 0006926
