This could be related to 0007075, or to one of the many other issues regarding reclaimed fortresses. Lots of things seem to go wrong when a fortress is reclaimed, as certain data doesn't appear to be preserved correctly. |

Do you see those weapons and armor pieces in other lists of items, say, in storage? Are they in some containers or just on ground? Will dwarves pick them up if you don't select given item and leave military settings on autoselect ("use any sword")?

Got same issue with reclaiming wordgen-abandoned fortress (v.44.05).
Dwarfes refuse to pick any of weapons that were found there, but still able to use them to chop trees or build a weapon trap. Funny, but after it was brought to construction, that specific weapon pops at "special weapon" list at military equipment screen.
