Summary | 0011131: Consistent crash about 15s after loading this save
Description | Dwarf fortress crashes about 15 seconds after this save file is loaded and the game is unpaused. The terminal just says "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". Hm, how do I attach a save file?
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Load save File. 2. Unpause game 3. Wait 15s. (on my machine, running about 20 FPS after game is unpaused.)
Additional Information | Interesting stuff that is going on that might be related: * A siege just started, the goblins are moving in. Burrow in the meeting hall was just set up, civilians are returning, three squads are moving outside. * Two of my squads are returning from a mission right now, report was already read. (razing a closeby goblin village to the ground.) * I uncovered an underground vulcano? when I hit the cavern for the first time. To see what would happened, I dug a channel from a closeby aquifer directly above the volcano. Top magma layer is about 75% covered with obsidian now from the water dripping down. Many "A part of the cavern has collapsed" messages appeared, whenever a new obsidian block is created but not orthogonally connected to a wall. This for some reason also gave me full visibility to the bottom of the magma column (or at least very far down).

Your fortress is doomed, unfortunately. It's subjected to the raid equipment corruption bug (in your case all squad equipment categories have something called "Nasñokdof", which probably is an artifact book (they usually are, although I haven't checked this case) in their specific equipment lists. The only known way to work around the bug is to retire/unretire (with the attendant mess caused by that process). You can also disband all squads and never create any new ones (blocking both further raiding any all means of defending yourself against enemies, tantrumers, and infiltrators). This bug seems to happen to all fortresses that engage in raids, sooner or later. 0011014 is the anchor bug report for this crash bug. Bugged saves are uploaded to DFFD (http://dffd.bay12games.com/ [^]) in the Bugged Saves section: you can't attach them directly to bug reports. |
