Summary0010787: Dwarfs for no reason drop dead
DescriptionDwarfs/non-dwarf citizens are going about their business and the calendar rolls over to the first of the new month and sudden death happens. Death comes for multiple dwarfs at once, who are otherwise engaged in tasks. Some have been stressed or injured recently, but not all have. There is no indication in their behavior that they are close to death, and they don't seem to have wounds that would cause death.
Additional InformationThis happened in a save that was updated from 43.05 to 44.10.

Not just the first of the month, but the first of the new year, a time when animals in Dwarf Fortress traditionally pause to reflect on their maximum age, then keel over dead if necessary.
