Summary0011467: Game Crashes to Desktop when refusing to give up an artifact
DescriptionA few years into a fort, a human hammerman demanded I turn over an artifact. When I said no, the game crashed to desktop.

I re-loaded the save and it happened again at around the same time.

I continued doing some work, saving, reloading, and then playing some more until I produced a save file which presents the menu and crashes if you say no within a few seconds.

Here's the screen I get before the crash: [^]

Here's a link to the savefile: [^]
Steps To Reproduce1. Load save
2. Resume play
3. Select "b" when asked to hand over the artifact

If possible, upload the save to dffd. Someone will take look at it, but can be years before bugs are addressed and dffd will be around as long as the game is since it's run by Bay12Games. [^]

Thanks for the rec for DFFD -- I've uploaded it there: [^]

I've also submitted this same link to bug 0010553. This one looks like a dupe of that. Apologies that I didn't find that one in my search.

In case someone finds this before they find 0010553, here's my comment there:

I popped open legends mode for this save and I have a hint that may help debug:

Mubo Wetman is the Chief of the Ardent Mushrooms and the guy who is demanding my artifact.

He placed the claim on the artifact in Summer of year 242.

His envoy arrived to demand I give up the artifact in Spring of 243.

Unfortunately, Mubo died in the winter of 242, before his envoy arrived at my fort.

It seems like maybe this SegFault could be caused by trying to "notify" or otherwise reference a now-dead historical figure?
