Summary0011488: Ambusher elves are being spotted, but the giant monsters they're riding on aren't.
DescriptionIn the save linked below, there are what appears to be elves flying around outside. Dfhack reveals the presence of giant flying animals in the same tile (giant mosquitos and giant cardinals). So the ambushing elves were spotted, but the giant bright red monsters they're riding on weren't.

(Presumably) correct behaviour would be for troops and their mounts to be spotted at the same time.
Steps To ReproduceLoad save, check out the flying elf (the save starts centered on one, there are four other flying around).

Save (thanks to BugTomazi). [^]
Additional InformationQuite likely to be related to the stealthy giant spiders bug:

I've got a similar problem, groups of elven animal ambushers are being revealed one at a time by my cage traps.

I've got a save where giant black bears and giant red squirrels are triggering the 'ambush' message individually. They are not revealing their whole group.

I guess the elves could be riding them, but I don't know.

That's regular (somewhat annoying) ambush behaviour. The whole group isn't revealed at once leading you to send out your militia squad, only to be ambushed by the hidden troops.
