Summary0001819: Caging large untamed creature results in infinite chase
DescriptionI had a fox in a cage. I assigned it to a different cage. Chaos ensued.

When the dwarf tries to drag the fox to the other cage he is 'interrupted by fox' and the fox gets away. The fox then runs around the fort chased by the dwarf, who still has the Cage Large Creature job. Whenever the dwarf gets close to the fox he is 'interrupted by fox' again and the fox gets away. 3 war dogs chase the dwarf around but do not attack the fox for some reason. It looked like the dwarf once actually caught the fix and dragged it a square or two before it got away again. The dwarf will presumably keep trying to cage the fox until the dwarf dies of thirst or exhaustion. The fox will presumably suffer no such ill affect. Neither the dwarf or the fox seem to be suffering any wounds.
Steps To ReproduceConstruct at least two cages and a mechanism. Create a cage trap and trap a fox. Make an animal stockpile so the cage is hauled to it. For best results, have the stockpile deep inside the fort. Build the other cage using (b) (j), at least a few squares away from the animal stockpile. Assign the fox to the other cage.
Additional InformationYou can tame a leopard but you can't tame a fox.

Side note: foxes are exotic pets, so you can't tame them until you get the Dungeon Master (which seems to be mostly impossible in this version).

Verified in version 31.12. The issue begins, when assigning an (untamed) creature from a stockpiled cage to a built cage.
I could reproduce it with an elephant, which is tamable without a dungeon master, so it is not restricted to exotic pets in the mentioned sense.

I could reproduce it in version 31.12 with a deer. I was trying to drop it off to a 5 z-level deep pit, but deer got avay. Later, when dwarf, assigned to move deer to a pit, eventually conored it, deer crushed dwarfs brain through a skull, got a name and continued wreaking havoc.
