|Platform||OS||Microsoft Vista||OS Version||SP2|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version||0.31.18|
|Summary||0003558: Randomly resetting item ownership status in adventure mode.|
|Description||Sacked bandit camp, and sold the loot back at town for coins, several times.|
After a save/reload, or some other processes, some coin stacks ended up marked with unpaid symbols, with the adventurer marked criminal.
|Steps To Reproduce||Try to buy/sell item in adv. mode. Might be related with the save/load process of a single region, or the entire game.|
|Additional Information||Confirmed not a mistake, coin stacks appeared after transaction, on table.|
Discovered by getting silence treatment at the last shop visit.

I can confirm this as well, it seems to happen with just about any store transaction. Buy anything or get any coins and there is a very good chance you will become a criminal to the civ after a time.
I also had it happen without traveling however. Going on a shopping spree after a particularly lucrative night creature hunt I bought some armor and a weapon from 2 different shops on the same site. I went to the general store to buy a backpack to carry my extra gear and next thing I knew I was marked a criminal.

Had this happen to some of my coins and a bow somewhere between travelling away from a castle, getting ambushed by bandits, and travelling back to a town. I bought the bow a long time before this.
Edit: Also, my bronze gauntlets and high-boots seem to have disappeared at the same time.

|Okay, I think I've figured this out. You have to have visited the store before (or had it loaded on the map), and then offloaded it, and then come back. Then the store inventory becomes re-owned if you come back to the store yet again after buying it. The problem is fixed for 0.31.18.|
