Summary | 0000769: Dwarves cannot dump items through doors. | |||||
Description | If a room is closed off with a door (open or closed), dwarves will cancel dumping job if they have to travel through the door to get to the dump site or dumped item. | |||||
Steps To Reproduce | Dig a room and build a doorway to seal it. Mark an activity zone for dumping inside the room. Set a stone inside the room for dumping. | |||||
Additional Information | Dwarves will sometimes move to the doorway before cancelling, and appear to get stuck. | |||||

i use dumping a lot, and i use doors a lot, I haven't seen any evidence of this. |

This might have something to do with having multiple dump areas set up. When I deleted all the zones and made just a single one, dumping worked fine. When I set up another dump area on the same floor, it started having the issue again. |

That could indeed be a factor, as I rarely have more than 1 dump zone defined. I use dumping for much, much more than throwing garbage away, so it's always pretty clear where things need to be dumped. |

This and other issues are being marked resolved because they fit the symptoms of the general pathing bug described by issues 0000018 and 0000070. If this issue represents an additional bug, it will most likely present different symptoms in 31.03, and a new report should be submitted. |
