Summary0008025: Dwarf stuck in permanent unconsciousness/ sleep
DescriptionSo, I've got a dwarf miner who was involved with a small cave-in, the dwarf was bruised up a little but apart from that completely fine. A little while later I noticed I was missing a miner and found him unconscious where the cave-in occurred. I've checked his health and there are no problems, and he appears to be asleep constantly. It seems like a one time issue but this guy isn't waking up, he has been asleep well over a year with other dwarfs bringing him food and water.
Steps To ReproduceNo idea, cause a cave in close to a dwarf?
Additional InformationIf you wish, I can send you the save with the sleepy dwarf.

Is the dwarf's job listed as Rest or Sleep?

I am also experiencing this problem from similar circumstances. In my instance, the dwarf's job is listed as sleep. Medical dwarves appear to be bringing the sleeping dwarf food and water, but it's been sleeping for a year now.

The save would be helpful. You can upload to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^]

What's the dwarf's status in the medical screen?

I have submitted my save. The dwarf has no status in the medical screen. Someone is feeding/watering the dwarf though. When the initial cave-in happened other dwarves were injured but recovered without incident.

alpha120, DFFD says your save is for 0.40.10. Does your save reproduce the problem in 0.40.12? There have been a number of healthcare fixes in recent versions.

Yes it appears that upgrading to 0.40.12 does fix the problem, at least for me. The dwarf didn't wake up by itself, but resuscitating it with a cave-in worked in 0.40.12 but not in 0.40.10.

Cool, thanks for testing. Haven't heard back from the original reporter, so we'll call it fixed.
