Summary | 0008353: Hauler stuck in tree chasing chest
Description | A dwarf set to Hauling tasks was reported as having No Job, and that persisted for a while. I eventually located him several levels up in a a tree, where a chest was located in the branches (suspect it was stolen by a Kea). I've tried to get him to go down by assigning other jobs, and by assigning him to a Burrow a couple of tiles from the tree base, to no avail. I see no other choice than to chop the tree down, probably injuring him. A possibly related event was when my woodchopper started to just report No Job without me having seen any report of something happening (might have missed it though). After a long while I looked at his injury status (having failed to get him to chop down e.g. a nearby tree, and other means to get him to move), and saw his leg was hurt (red). He just lay there until I built a hospital, at which time he somehow appeared at it. It can be mentioned that when selecting an area for tree chopping, trunks above ground are be selected if your area happens to cover trees poking up from a lower elevation base.

Forgot to mention that I'm using the DF Starter Pack with Dwarf Therapist and DFHack Pure Bugfixes enabled and the Phoebus tile set. |

Do you have a save showing this? If so, please post to http://dffd.wimbli.com/index.php [^] and link here. Edit: There are a number of 'dwarf stuck in tree' bug reports that this could be related to, no idea which one, if any. |
