Summary0008648: Dwarves don't seem to be able to collect materials for moods
Descriptionwhen a dwarf is possessed by a mood, and then normally tries to gather materials they don't seem to move to gathering materials under the new job system, they simply claim their workshop, and then eventually fail.

i have a mason demanding stone, of which there is plenty in the stockpile, and previously had a weaver ignore the cloth right next to them.

 Are you sure that all the requested materials are available, not just the stone?

 I can confirm this. I have a dwarf currently at a craftsdwarfs workshop and he is demanding "tree life" Which I assume means wood. Well I've chopped down 1/6th of a forest prior, and he does not seem keen to grab materials.

You can find the craftdwarf workshop in the courtyard of the palisade.
