Summary0009380: Dwarf Fortress tries to decompress junk files (desktop.ini) that end up in the data/dipscript folder
DescriptionTried to start a bloodline game and ran into the following error on trying to start the game after sharing it:
"One of the compressed files on disk has errors in it. Restore from backup if are able."

After a lot of troubleshooting it turned out that my save was perfectly fine, as it worked in a fresh installation of Dwarf Fortress. In fact the game refused to run at all even without the save.

After comparing the fresh install to my corrupted install. I found out it was the data/dipscript/desktop.ini file added by Google Drive when I shared the folder that caused the crash. The game runs fine even with all the other desktop.ini files that were added to every folder, but it crashes on this one.
Steps To ReproduceAdd any kind of file to data/dipscript or leave the installation in the care of a Windows tool that likes to put fancy icons over all the folders like Google Drive does when you share a folder, then run Dwarf Fortress.

If the file isn't blank you might get the error: "One of the compressed files on disk has errors in it. Restore from backup if are able."

If the file is blank you won't get the error, but Dwarf Fortress will suddenly take up a ton of memory and stall in the background forever.

There's a small margin between an empty and small file that dwarf fortress will still load on, implying that it decompressed and loaded the junk file.
Additional InformationReproducible on v0.34.10

Reproduced in 0.44.09 by copying a few world.sav files into data/dipscript
