Additional Information	Fast travel ensures missing dragon. Sleep at the site doesn't seem to trigger the creature disappearing, I slept at the fortress where I had trapped the dragon for several nights, and the beast remained in its cage in the stockpiles. Moving the dragon away from the stockpiles, to a different location of the fortress, didn't cause it to disappear - but this was inconsistent/not fully tested.
