0005085: Adventure mode crashes upon beginning a conversation

Description

Whenever I go up to an NPC in any city I've gone to I have been getting an error with the conversations. I would walk up to NPC and the conversation would begin normally, but the moment I choose "greet" the game crashes. Should I just make a new world?

Steps To Reproduce

Go up to NPC.
Talk to them.
Choose "Greet".

Additional Information

I have not tried creating a new world, but it takes a ridiculous amount of time on my computer to come up with the history, so I would prefer not to but if that's the solution I will.
