Yeah, I could have sworn they kept their appearance in previous versions. I really liked the look of metal doors. I hope this would be an easy fix. |

The same happens with floodgates - instead of showing up as "≡" as when stockpiled, they turn into an "X" when built. Curiously, this does not apply to gem floodgates (e.g. produced by a strange mood), which appear as a gray asterisk (*) on a gem-colored background just as they did in 0.28.181.40d. |

This may be related to 0000099 at some level (i.e. a confusion between stone and metal due to both now being "inorganic" materials). |

While looking into the cause of 0001332, I determined that this bug is caused by there being no special code to handle doors made of metal - the only cases checked for are "tooth", "horn", "pearl", "bone", "plant material" (i.e. wood), "amber", "coral", "green/clear/crystal glass", "inorganic gem", "inorganic non-gem", and "everything else" (ice/potash/pearlash/coal/etc.). The same is true for floodgates (aside from the 3 types of glass being lumped in with "everything else"). |

Doors and floodgates should be consistent in item/building picture and have the better bar metal pictures for doors for next time. |
