Lungfish can survive out of water - are you sure they're in the air and not on the ground?

If you mean "in the air" as outside the water then its not a bug.

If you could upload a screenshot or something along those lines, TheNextCrusade, that might be useful - I have lungfish on my map and they're not flying.

Literally flying, as in, like two Z-levels above the ground. I don't have a save there at the moment but I saw it on multiple sites.

I've reproduced this as well. Not all the lungfish on the map were flying, but there were quite a few hovering above the river. The map had a large waterfall, but the flying lungfish were 5-7 z-levels above the highest water/land on the map.

Unfortunately don't have the save.

I can confirm this being in 34.01 was wondering of it was just me seeing it. :D

I still have the would (along with the 150+ giant mosquito's) if anyone wants it.

This happened to me once on my laptop(which I don't have, currently), when I kept finding randomized lungfish remains out of water. One of the cats that my fort had was randomly chasing off after them, which may be why.
When I built a refuse pile, all the dwarves decided to go get rid of the lungfish remains instead of being productive.
I don't have the save, nor the laptop..

0.34.10, flying lungfish make another appearance. They are actively flying up and down as if they were birds.

In the new DF 0.40.03 lungfish usually likes to "swim" inside tree canopies... Climbing behavior is weird... I think, some critters should never climb/jump, especially not the fish...
