Summary | 0000590: Cavern Collapse on load
Description | It seems that occasionally on reloading a save I get the alert "a section of the cavern has collapsed" after unpausing on load. It is always in an underground cavern, usually in an unexplored area (map still blank, cant see it). I had a save where I loaded and it happened to I crashed the game and reloaded, and it happened in the exact same spot. I crashed the game again and went back in, used reveal before unpausing and went to the location where the collapse was about to happen. Turns out I have trees and plants spawning in mid-air on load, which is causing the collapse message.
Steps To Reproduce | Seems to be fairly random, only seems to happen on loading a save and doesnt always happen.

It would be helpful if you uploaded a save that has a consistent or sorta consistent collapse when loaded. http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] |

I will see what I can do. It seems to happen upon unpausing but its pretty random. Sometimes when I load, it doesn't do it, other times it does. |

Here is a save that appears to do it every time in 31.03, in a visible part of the cavern. In the space above/inside the cave-in there are some squares with "muddy open space" (as per bug 0000127) which may be related. The following doesn't seem to reproduce reliably, but in one instance one of these squares grew a shrub midair--consistent with the above report, but maybe suggesting a different root cause. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2273 [^] Edit: "Reliably" was a bad term above; as always, if you let it run a year or two of game time, you'll likely see multiple trees/shrubs. |

I have exactly the same error. After every reload a cave-in appears deep down in an unexplored cavern. While saving the game or before the save everything is okay. EDIT: just checked with reveal. A spore tree has spawn in mid-air, falling down the first game-step. |
