Summary | 0008262: Your leaders are always running away from you
Description | Maybe linked to this : http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=7360 [^] But the report closed for me adding comments Here's the save but it happens every single time i played any kind of character i ever played in df2014, it's not new to this version : http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9649 [^] When you create a Human (and very likely other too) adventurer , that is hearthperson of a castle, your law give/lord/lady will run away from you. A look ( l key ) at them show coating of tears in they eyes. In the save i provided, i just started as a hearthperson and the game spawned me next to my law giver. Immediately that law giver ran away from me. I strapped my weapons in case it was a part of the problem, but the guy still ran. Note : this is not a problem happening only at a character new start, this happens all the time when you get back into your lord/lady castle, most of the leaders present will run away from you despite you're one of their hearthperson, sometime they will even run out of the castle relatively far. Note 2 : this problem happens constantly with half your companions when you walk in the wilderness too, they run away then come back, then run away etc... despite they're your allies and never ever did anything to them.

As far as I can tell, the coating of tears is always there. It makes sense. If your eyes weren't coated with lacrimal fluid (i.e. tears), they would be very, very dry. I've never played a hearthperson, but I've also noticed companions running in strange loops, away from you and back again. It seems to happen mostly when they think that a fight is going on. Oddly enough, if you fast travel out of a "combat" situation (even if it's just a kea encounter), your companions seem to retain their agitated status for a while after you leave fast travel some in-game hours later. I'm not sure how much of this behavior is covered by 0006705 and 0008125. Edit: There are occasional entries in the rumor/event lists about companions demanding submission from each other, with no apparent reason for the enmity between them. |

I'm not talking about reality, i am talking about coating of tears the way they happen in DF : when people are very afraid or when people are so sad they're crying. In my save, press l and instead of looking at the terrorised law giver (that has the coating of tear), look at the lord that is on the north of that room, he's neither in terror state or crying, so the "coating of tear" mention isn't appearing for him. |
