Summary | 0008803: Dwarf Mode Crash
Description | Dwarf Mode fortress crash. Save + errorlog.txt: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10563 [^] (Simple zipped save folder + errorlog.txt.) For world generation and play vanilla 0.40.24 has been used (freshly installed PeridexisErrant's Dwarf Fortress Starter Pack r3, standard settings, no mods, but Dwarf Therapist). It crashes reliably after 0000019:0000010 seconds on 3 different computers under Win XP and Win7, taking 839 640 MByte of RAM out of 4 GByte. The fort is relatively new (0000001:0000001.5 years) and there is no hint at all about what went wrong. The only peculiar thing about this is the goblin outpost liason, but he is not on the map at the time of crash. I'm not sure whether to report this and if yes, how to do it properly. Is there anything more I can do?

Building any constructions (floors, walls) anywhere near trees? |

In such case it would be again 0008719, "Building constructions over parts of trees crashes" which currently seems to be the most reported crash issue. |

I checked and you are right, there is indeed a building near a tree causing the crash (right above the entrance, hotkey F1). Thank you! This can be closed, since it is a duplicate of 0008719. |
