Summary | 0009703: Promotion/elevation of lands to duchy causes usurpation of title by another dwarf |
Description | Savefile: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=11975 [^]
Place: fortress of Agedcheese, Date: autumn of 255
Promotion/elevation of lands to duchy causes usurpation of title by another dwarf. In the savefile it happens immediately after the liaison (goblin located near the western map edge) leaves. Before he leaves, there are two barons. Ushrira, baroness of my fortress Agedcheese, and Sodela, baroness of a foreign place named Sealmysteries. After he leaves, Ushrira is promoted to generic "duchess", while Sodela is promoted to "duchess of Agedcheese", effectively usurping the title and messing up future inheritance. Expected result would be: Ushrira is the duchess of Agedcheese, while Sodela is the duchess of Sealmysteries (or of nothing at all, see Additional Information).
|
Steps To Reproduce | Using the savefile linked: just wait till the liaison leaves, it takes about 10 steps for him. |
Additional Information | Additional info: Sodela inherited the title a few years back (autumn of 253), while my fortress wasn't a barony yet, so she was the first baron in the fortress. But she was a baron of foreign place, and when the time came I still could "recommend" a proper dwarf for the title (i.e. Ushrira), as expected. Elevation process though (from barony to county/duchy) seems buggy. Also, said foreign place was conquered by humans in the previous year (spring of 254). But this didn't "overthrow" Sodela, which may be a bug, or not, depending on author's intention (possibly she is to be considered a duchess-in-exile).
I listed the severity as "minor", but it can be disrupting if role-playing elements are the main motivation of the player. |
