Summary | 0010324: Dwarf still able to 'Handle' 'reverted to wild state' elk bird |
Description | A semi-wild elk bird had been assigned to a pasture. It reverted to wild state and fled the area. Some game days later, I sent some squads to go kill it. At that point I noticed that the closest military dwarf was leading it back to the pasture, rather than killing it. None of the other dwarfs will attack it either. A (now wild) elk bird shouldn't be pasture-able and the dwarf should attack it. When I disable the kill order, the relevant dwarf's labor is 'Handle Elk Bird'. A copy of the save is available.
As a side note, a very similar behavior occurs when I assign a hostile creature (troglodyte, etc.) from a cage to a pasture. Not only will it go quietly, military dwarfs are unable to attack it until it has been pastured. |
Steps To Reproduce | Train wild creature. Move it to a pasture. Wait for it to forget its training completely. A dwarf with the relevant labor might re-pasture it. |
