Summary | 0002785: Tree grows suddenly on top of constructed wall
Description | After building an outdoors wall, a full grown tree appeared on top of the finished wall.
Steps To Reproduce | ? | ||||||||||
Additional Information | It appeared there shortly after finishing the wall, so no muddying of that tile or something. It might have been that there was a sapling growing in the tile the wall was constructed in, but i am not sure on that. No other wall parts are affected

This would be a *really* useful thing to know how to do. |

Same thing happens with stockpiles when you place them over saplings, wait long enough and when you remove it, some will instantly grow into trees. I think this one is a holdover from 40D, its more of an odd thing than a bug, but its still a bug even if its a trivial one. |

Well, the summary as changed by Footkerchief is not correct: I did not remove the wall! The tree grows one z level above, where before was open space and now is the area above the constructed wall. So it is like this (side view): | #### | tree # wall |

Ah, I misunderstood. What material was the wall made from? Did you do any modding? |

The walls are made from slate blocks. And its pure vanilla DF. I have been thinking, and it might have something to do with this: this particular piece of wall is build in a space that I have channeled out from the soil. So it might also be a tree that would have been growing in this tile before channeling. I have the save if it is needed, but I do not know if that helps. |
