Summary | 0000877: bones/corpses not produced through reactions
Description | I've tried several variations of: [PRODUCT:100:1:CORPSEPIECE:BONE:CREATURE_MAT:CAT:BONE] and [PRODUCT:100:1:CORPSE:NONE:CREATURE_MAT:CAT:BONE] While DF doesn't produce any errors and the reaction shows up in the list for the building, the reaction does not produce the product. It simply consumes the reagent. I can use similar reactions to create almost anything (from cat bone bars to cat bone shoes), but cannot create corpses or corpsepieces of any form.
Steps To Reproduce | Add a reaction that should produce bone: [REACTION:DESTROY_VERMIN] [NAME:process vermin remains] [BUILDING:KITCHEN:CUSTOM_V] [REAGENT:A:1:REMAINS:NONE:NONE:NONE] [PRODUCT:100:1:CORPSEPIECE:BONE:CREATURE_MAT:CAT:BONE] [SKILL:DISSECT_VERMIN] [AUTOMATIC] Notice that while reaction does show up in the appropriate building, the reaction simply consumes the reagent without producing anything.

Corpse reactions were guaranteed to (still) be wonky, so it's debatable whether this is a bug. You're more likely to get useful help in the DF Modding forum: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?board=13.0 [^] |

This ones a bit too technical for me, I was under the impression that without modding anything you can get bones from taking a skeleton/partial skeleton to a butcher shop. I rarely bother to butcher anything myself so I really don't know for certain. |

@Footkerchief: The DF Modding forum is where this bug report stems from; none of us were able to find a way that works. |
