Summary | 0001402: Possessed dwarf names artifact after himself
Description | A dwarf with a possessed strange mood seems to be muttering his own name rather than the name of the artifact-to-be as common in 40d. The dwarf has been given a nickname. When inspecting the workshop I see this text: "'Pfhreak' Nanirmelbil keeps muttering 'Pfhreak' Nanirmelbil." I have a save from during the mood, before all materials are gathered.

Okay, he was in fact muttering the name of the artifact. The artifact ended up being named the same as the dwarf. |

Its well known that dwarves sometimes name artifacts after themselves, although it was generally the fey/secretive moods, so maybe its happening for possessions now. If that kind of thing happened in 40D, I didn't notice this. As far as artifacts go, this seems normal to me. |

I didn't know about them naming artifacts after themselves. There's a possibility that's a bug. |

Yea, its one of those things that is both a bug and a feature. Could be related to what happens sometimes with fey/secretive moods in 40D, but I have no idea if it was ever considered a bugt or not. As long as it doesn't happen at an annoying frequency, it should be fine I guess. |

I vote to change severity to Feature... |

I'm assuming this is some kind of corruption that has since been fixed. If you have a save that demonstrates this problem in the latest version, please upload it to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ [^] and reopen this report (or PM me on the forums). |

They name 1% of the artifacts after themselves. It's very old code. |
