| Summary | 0001866: When my last dwarf dies, the game crashes. | |||||
| Description | I'm down to my last injured dwarf versus several goblin archers who have been working on killing him for close to a full in-game month, but rather than killing him and letting me reclaim the fortress from them, the game simply crashes whenever I get the "Urist McSurvivor has been struck down" message. | |||||
| Additional Information | That being said, I'm not likely to try and reclaim it until the "invaders are now friendly" bug is patched as well. My fort ended in bloodshed, and it will begin again in bloodshed. Strike the earth! :) | |||||

I'm marking this as related to 0000827, but it's more like 0000991. Does the same thing happen on abandon (note: back up your save first!)? |

I've noticed that other bug reports provide their saves, so here's mine. I originally made it because I got 4chan interested in Urist's plight. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2339 [^] I have not tried to abandon yet, but I did successfully abandon this location once before when a magma mishap (not a bug, just a faulty doomsday machine) nearly wiped out my population. |

Update: When I intentionally destroyed a different fortress (through a combination of cave-ins and HFS) the game processed it without crashing. So that's odd. Update again: I managed to save the game right after Urist is killed by an arrow. Loading the save and unpausing it causes the game to crash. |
