Summary | 0000032: World gen mountain halls / dwarf pits don't branch out from their "stairwell"
Description | After generating a random pocket island map, I started an adventurer (human, play now), and travelled to the only non-elf landmark, an (empty?) dwarf settlement. Rather than an interesting collection of coridors and rooms, the underground portion was floor after floor of 8x8 rooms, each with a line of up ramps and a line of down ramps (http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/9427/dfbug.png [^]) with no branching corridors. Unless I am missing a neat new feature that enables world-gen conflicts to influence the completeness of a construction, this is almost certainly a bug or an extremely implausable development.
Steps To Reproduce | This is probably enough, the initial few lines of region1-world_gen_param.txt: Created in DF v0.31.01. [WORLD_GEN] [TITLE:POCKET ISLAND] [SEED:3342822500] [HISTORY_SEED:178886794] [NAME_SEED:3048367976] [CREATURE_SEED:1479569598]
Additional Information | I still have the save, although it is likely unneeded if the seed works.

I found the same in two worldgen-fortresses I visited, simply a dead end like that. |

I once encountered a fortress just like this in 0.28.181.40d (detailed at http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=45916.0 [^]). |

Mountain halls don't exist at all anymore, and will probably be drastically different when they come back, so I'm marking this report as suspended. |
