Summary | 0007830: Expedition leader cheats
Description | ...but not what we usually mean by cheating in DF! My expedition leader just had a baby. I thought this was a little odd, as I didn't recall her being married. And it turns out there's a reason for that! She isn't married, and the child's relationship screen says her father is the manager, who IS married - to the blacksmith. The manager and blacksmith already had a son when they arrived at the fortress. Now it's always possible that dwarf ethics just got one step closer to reality TV, or this could be unintentional. Just thought I'd check with Toady which it is :-)
Additional Information | The expedition leader and manager list each other as "friend" (presumably with benefits), while the blacksmith is on friendly terms with the expedition leader. How very open-minded of her!

My mechanic has just had a baby too. Again, not married, but at least this time she had a lover listed (the chief medical dwarf). HOWEVER, the baby says that her father is a fishery worker, who the mechanic only claims to be on friendly terms with. The fishery worker is married (to someone else again), although he didn't bring his wife or any of their three children to the fortress. This does start to sound like something is going awry in working out parentage. |

Someone on Something Awful mentioned a dwarf having three children with different women 9 months after the embark. http://i.imgur.com/XFYhkm0.jpg [^] http://i.imgur.com/pazeU35.jpg [^] http://i.imgur.com/rTepuXL.jpg [^] |
