Summary | 0009966: Dwarves do not clean vomit
Description | Dwarves do not clean up vomit. No matter how many dwarves I assign to cleaning, they will not clean up vomit anywhere in the fort. They'll clean up blood, pus, and other contaminants, but they will not clean up vomit. Over time, large portions of the fort become completely coated in increasingly large piles of vomit.
Steps To Reproduce | Build a fort in which dwarves will be going back and forth between above-ground and below-ground, causing vomiting due to cave adaptation. Resulting piles of vomit will never be cleaned.
Additional Information | I've seen these now in at least a dozen forts; indeed, haven't seen a fort where it does not happen. And, yes, I know, dwarves do not clean outside. But the areas I'm seeing are inside and underground. And they clean up other contaminants. For example, in one of my forts, a wereskink got into the trade depot and killed a couple of caravan guards. The dwarves very quickly cleaned that up, but they just will not clean up the vomit.

Dwarves are notoriously particular about cleaning (0000425). Please post a save on http://dffd.bay12games.com [^] to confirm that this is a separate issue. |

I think cave adaption sickness is a little broken. I am trying to build a tower surrounding the entrance to my underground fort and the vomit is ridiculous. Maybe they should be stunned for a few turns when adjusting to the light but spewing everywhere even after they come back inside is a little much. |

Absent any evidence to the contrary, I am closing this bug as a duplicate of the known cleaning quirkiness. Suggestions regarding the mechanics of cave adaption would be more appropriate in the forums. |
